  June & Michael are amazing hosts. This perfect getaway on Tyson lake has great refreshing swimming. I love the off grid vibe and knowing I'm not making an impact makes my stay better. Feeling adventurous? You can sleep in a massive tipi! Feeling like a cozy snuggle? You can rent a rustic cabin or pitch your own tent. I did my yoga on the east facing dock and was joined by Charlie, their hilarious doggy that is the mascot of Avalon. What a wonderful place. ❤

  Mike and June provided a wonderful accommodation for our family of 16. Charlie was a wonderful trained dog who protects the site from bears. The cabin rooms are clean and well kept, as are the outside washrooms/showers. The site is off the grid a it uses dim solar/propane for lighting in the cabins. You must have flashlights for this trip.

  The view from the cabin was amazing! The cabin itself was great. We were minutes from the park, and we even used the canoes to explore Tyson Lake. We had a great time!
