  There was also a strange reservation system, even though the lodge had very few guests and the dining room was almost completely empty they were insistent on us keeping our reservation times.

  If you want to come for peace and quiet the is the place. No tv's or WiFi in the rooms.

  The only downside is the high cost of rooms and the dining service. With most tables empty, other guests and us were told no tables were available. After eating same meal in separate carousel lounge, tables were still mostly empty and other guests were told a similar story... apparently they double book reservations and just have a lot of no shows... unlikely given 15 free tables for at least two hours. Made us and other guests feel excluded for no good reason. Very disappointing for an otherwise truly exceptional place.

  The lodge it's self is outstanding, the games room is in need of an update but what they have updated is truly breathtaking.

  Overall a nice place with lovely views and grounds. They are going through a transition and I hope they address these details.

  The meals were fine, but not great considering the price point and the fact that half of the menu was not available, and there was no indication prior to ordering that the menu was limited.

  We stayed in one of their updated King suites. Room was beautiful although the shower was a bit small and the pot lights flickered constantly in our room. There was also no mini fridge which I feel for the price of the room should have been a given.

  I liked not having a tv in the room, but wifi is sort of a basic commodity these days. It would have been nice. Also it would have been nice if the games room had more games or even cards available. It rained during our stay and there was little to do but play pool on an old sloping table.

  This is a beautiful resort built on and around amazing pink granite rocks. Right on the channel with kayaks and SUP for guests or sailing expeditions. The resort has a great restaurant, carousel lounge with relaxing fireplace in center and views all around, a nice pool and deck, large game room with shuffleboard and pool, and so much more. The resort keeps a rustic and natural feel despite having all the comforts.

  Came here for a wedding and had a fantastic time. The ceremony outside was on the docks, which have a beautiful view, the cocktail hour was in the round chalet, cozy atmosphere and great spots to mingle by the pool. Thr main hall was spacious. Great place for a venue, lots of spots to go for a walk and relax. Food was delicious, however, some staff were not very friendly.

  The reason I only gave a 3 star is that the staff do not measure up to the high standards of the resort. Kristen at the front desk was the only friendly staff member we could find. Also very knowledgeable. Kudos Kristen.
